Una nueva forma de <strong>reducir el consumo de los veh\u00edculos: hacerlos m\u00e1s ligeros<\/strong>. Lo est\u00e1 intentando la empresa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arcelormittal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ArcelorMittal<\/a>, que est\u00e1 utilizando la <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nanotecnolog%C3%ADa\" target=\"_blank\">nanotecnolog\u00eda<\/a> sobre el acero durante la fase de moldeado y asegura que el peso del veh\u00edculo se puede reducir bastante.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Y ech\u00e1ndoles un vistazo a sus datos, la investigaci\u00f3n no parece ninguna tonter\u00eda: la compa\u00f1\u00eda asegura que puede reducir el peso del chasis (con puerta, cap\u00f3 y otras partes soldadas incluidas) <strong>hasta en 85 kilos<\/strong>. De hecho, si se utilizase este proceso en todos los <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoymotor.com\/72704\/la-corrosion-en-las-carrocerias\/\" target=\"_blank\">componentes del coche que usen acero<\/a>, el peso total se podr\u00eda reducir unos 100 kilos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 ventajas tiene esto? Al margen del evidente ahorro en consumo de combustible (<a href=\"http:\/\/autoconsultorio.com\/tecnologia-coches\/prestaciones-y-consumo-asi-influyen-el-peso-el-motor-y-la-aerodinamica\/\" target=\"_blank\">cuesta menos mover un veh\u00edculo ligero<\/a> que uno pesado), el proceso por el que se consigue reducir el peso (calentar el metal hasta m\u00e1s de 1000\u00baC, volvi\u00e9ndolo maleable, momento en el que se aplica la tecnolog\u00eda) permite tambi\u00e9n lograr un <strong>acero mucho m\u00e1s resistente que el normal<\/strong>. Es decir, con menos material se conseguir\u00eda la misma resistencia, logrando tambi\u00e9n un ahorro econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n<p>Claro que para ver esto en coches todav\u00eda habr\u00e1 que esperar. ArcelorMittal ya ha dicho que <strong>hasta dentro de tres a\u00f1os por lo menos<\/strong> no esperan tener su producto listo para lanzarlo al mercado (y por eso tampoco dan muchos detalles).
