Dentro de unos a\u00f1os, nuestros coches podr\u00edan haber sustituido los combustibles m\u00e1s habituales derivados del petr\u00f3leo por <strong>un l\u00edquido que hasta ahora sol\u00edamos beber: el whisky<\/strong>. Los responsables de la idea son investigadores de la<strong> Universidad de Napier<\/strong> en Edimburgo (Escocia), que est\u00e1n probando ya los primeros biocombustibles a partir de subproductos de su bebida nacional.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAdem\u00e1s de la Universidad, en el experimento ha estado muy presente la <strong>destiler\u00eda de Glenkinchie<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n escocesa, cuyos desechos al fabricar whisky son los que se han utilizado para el nuevo combustible. Y teniendo en cuenta que la industria del whisky escoc\u00e9s produce cada a\u00f1o <strong>1.600.000 litros de residuo l\u00edquido y 187.000 toneladas de zupia de la cebada<\/strong> (los dos componentes utilizados para el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subaru.es\/blog\/2010\/07\/15\/subaru-es-la-marca-con-mejor-valor-residual\/\">biocombustible<\/a>), su explotaci\u00f3n comercial podr\u00eda convertirse en una de las soluciones de los coches ecol\u00f3gicos.<\/p>\n<p>Y, en principio, ni siquiera hace falta tener un coche especial: seg\u00fan muchos cient\u00edficos, el <strong>butanol<\/strong> (as\u00ed se llama el <em>whiskycombustible<\/em>) puede utilizarse tal cual en cualquier veh\u00edculo normal, aunque posiblemente al final funcione mejor <strong>mezclado con gasolina o di\u00e9sel<\/strong>. En ambos casos, el coche es el mismo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfLo veremos alg\u00fan d\u00eda? Todo parece indicar que s\u00ed: la universidad no solo quiere investigar y experimentar, sino que tambi\u00e9n pretende crear una compa\u00f1\u00eda que se ocupe de su e<strong>xplotaci\u00f3n comercial<\/strong>.
