En su momento supuso una gran novedad en el mercado de los <strong>SUV<\/strong> (sport utility vehicle), esa moderna mezcla de veh\u00edculo de ocio y todoterreno o <em>pick-up<\/em>. El Forester fue pionero en esta gama que combina la comodidad de una berlina con las prestaciones y la altura que permiten moverse por la monta\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>El Forester tiene aut\u00e9nticas legiones de admiradores (si es que un coche puede tenerlos), hay <a href=\"http:\/\/www.subaruforester.org\/vbulletin\/\">foros dedicados en internet<\/a> que lo atestiguan. El coche ha pasado por distintas etapas y se espera que en los proximos a\u00f1os sea redise\u00f1ado de nuevo (se habla de 2009). La primera generaci\u00f3n se vendi\u00f3 hasta el a\u00f1o 2002.<\/p>\n<p>El gran mercado del Forester ha sido Estados Unidos aunque Europa y Australia no le han ido a la zaga.
